Lavender Vintage German Glass, Sterling Silver Tassel Earrings

Long and sultry, these earrings are going to get noticed! They feature lavender and black vintage glass from 1920's Germany, and sterling silver chain with different shapes and degrees of oxidation.

The beads are a beautiful cracked Givre, with translucent lavender, and splashes and swirls of opaque black. They're three-sided, with softly rounded edges. I used a lot of sterling silver wire to create the wire wrapped design, and added a patina, hand polishing the high spots until they offered a bright contrast to the dark lows.

The long, dangling tassels are made from three different sizes and styles of Sterling silver chain, and each one has a different finish. The larger chain is rolo chain, and has a dark patina on it, in the middle, for contrast, you'll see dainty cable chain with a bright polish. The final touch is a length of textured cable chain with light oxidation.

The earrings are shown on my own handcrafted earwires, with a bright polish. All designing and work is my own.

* Hang 3.75" (9,5cm) from the top of sterling silver ear wires (That is measuring to the bottom of the longest length of chain.
* German glass beads = 11mm x 11mm

The beads in this pair of earrings are from my very limited supply of vintage German glass. This is a style that I've never been able to find again (after buying all that were available at the time) so they seem to be quite rare, and I doubt I'll be able to buy more in the future.
