The four Labradorite stones in this pair of earrings, are four of the best I've ever had! Labradorite is a felspar mineral that displays an outrageously stunning iridescent optical affect (schiller) known as labradorescence. These particular stones have a gray base color with brilliant blue and teal flashes. In some light you'll also catch a glimpse of peach, but gray and blue are the predominant colors of these labradorite beads.
I used bright sterling silver wire to wrap the smooth teardrops, and to make the upper link with puffy coin shaped Labradorite. The components are connected with sterling silver jump rings, and are suspended from Sterling Silver leverback ear wires to create long, flashy, sexy earrings.
* Earrings hang 2" (5cm) from the top of the earwires
* Labradorite Coins = 10mm diameter, 6mm thick
* Labradorite Teardrops = 7 x 12mm
All metal is Sterling silver, and the design and work are my own.
I'm including enough pictures that you should get a great idea of the color play of these stones. It's difficult to capture the blue flash with my camera, so in "real life" you'll be stunned by the exquisite beauty of these earrings!
Very light and easy to wear, you'll forget you have these on, but I promise, they'll be showing off the whole time.
