Larimar, Gaspeite, Kyanite Handmade Sterling Silver Earrings

This is a collection of breathtaking 100% genuine and natural stones, wired and wrapped together to make stunning earrings, using Sterling Silver wire.

Smooth sky blue Dominican Larimar sits atop, followed by earthy green and tan Australian Gaspeite button beads, and then the focal point, stunning large smooth sapphire blue Kyanite marquise shapes. I added a dusky dark, patina to the silver, and then hand polished it to get the effect I was looking for, with bright highs, and dark sultry lows.

Larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic, which is why it's often referred to as the Carribean Gem. The two stones in these earrings are the lovely sky blue with some cloudy white, but they also have reddish brown inclusions, which I think are beautiful. They show in the photos, so be sure to look closely if you don't like inclusions in your larimar.

Gaspeite is becoming a very rare stone, making it nearly impossible to find. I have a few strands stashed away, but I tend to hoard them because I'm so afraid I won't be able to find more. This Gaspeite is from Australia which used to be the only place to find it, but there's also a little coming out of Canada, although its quality isn't as nice.

Kyanite is found in several countries, including Switzerland and the USA, but I think these were mined in Brazil. They have a smooth silky polish, with a bit of the silvery color play that Kyanite is known for.

I have a much younger Bohemian hippie chick who still lives inside of me, and when she comes out to play, this is the style of earrings we come up with. She loves long, unique, free falling, and playful baubles.

Earrings hang 3" (7.6cm) from the top of my handmade sterling ear wires
Larimar tubes = approx 7mm x 9mm
Australian Gaspeite = 5.5mm x 2mm
Kyanite = 9.5mm x 22mm (.37" x .86")

All of the metal is Sterling Silver, and each and every stone is genuine and natural.
